STORYHUNT // LEGAL

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-18

1. Acceptance

By using storyhunt.city (the "Service") or purchasing access to a StoryHunt experience, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. What we provide

StoryHunt sells self-guided, chat-based mystery walks in New York City. You purchase an access link that activates a 30-day window from the first time you tap "Start" at the meeting point. Within that window you can re-open the experience.

3. Eligibility

You must be 16 or older to purchase. You're responsible for being physically able to do a 2-hour outdoor walk in NYC. We're not a guided tour and we won't be following you around — the experience runs on your phone.

4. Payments

Purchases are processed by Stripe. Prices are in USD. Your bank may apply foreign-exchange fees if you pay with a non-USD card. Sales tax is calculated at checkout when applicable.

5. Refunds

See our Refund Policy. Short version: full refund within 24h if you haven't started; refund if our system fails; case-by-case otherwise.

6. Your access link

We email you a unique access link after purchase. Treat it like a ticket — anyone with the link can use the experience. We do not replace lost or shared links beyond the maximum number of uses included in your purchase.

7. Acceptable use

Don't:

8. Intellectual property

All experience content (writing, audio, images, video) is owned by StoryHunt. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to play it. Reviews and feedback you provide may be used in our marketing.

9. Disclaimer

StoryHunt is provided "as is." We can't guarantee that the experience will always work perfectly — phone batteries die, NYC has cellular dead zones, narrators occasionally hallucinate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is capped at the price you paid.

10. Safety

You are walking in a real city. Watch for traffic, weather, and your surroundings. Stop the experience if you feel unsafe. We are not responsible for injuries, lost property, or interactions with third parties during your walk.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms (e.g. fraudulent payments, attempting to attack the system). Active access tokens for fraudulent purchases will be revoked.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email to active customers at least 14 days before they take effect.
